GMC Hummer EV Edition 1, 2024. The GMC Hummer EV Edition One version launches first. It has three electric motors (one front, two rear). Range on a single charge is about 480 km. Like the pickup, the Hummer SUV can be turned into a convertible by removing the rigid roof panels, which stow in the spacious front trunk. There is no traditional frame; the main load-bearing element is the structure of the traction battery located between the axles, to which powerful subframes and independent suspensions are mounted front and rear. The next-generation Ultium battery, developed jointly with LG Chem, has low cobalt content and is protected from below by steel plates, allowing fording over 600 mm deep. Ground clearance is 257 mm, rising to 302 mm in Terrain Mode, with a maximum of 404 mm available as an option.
