Pininfarina JAS Tensei. During Milan Design Week 2026, new details were revealed about the Tensei, the first high-performance road car from JAS Motorsport, designed by Pininfarina. Inspired by the first-generation 1990s Honda NSX, the Tensei is a modern interpretation of the Gran Turismo concept that defined the original car's DNA: high performance, balance, usability and emotional involvement. More than a reimagining, it is the revival of an icon: its name comes from the Japanese word for rebirth and reflects the project's ambition to create a next-generation supercar faithful to the spirit of the original NSX while offering a more modern, confident and technically advanced identity. Designed by Pininfarina and engineered by JAS Motorsport, the Tensei will be produced in an ultra-limited series at the JAS Motorsport atelier in Arluno, near Milan, with bespoke customization supported by Pininfarina's atelier in Cambiano, Turin. Built on carefully selected early-1990s donor cars chosen for their chassis and mechanical base, it features an all-new carbon-fibre body and will be available in both left- and right-hand drive. The project was presented in Milan during the Car Design Dialogues in the presence of Pininfarina CEO Paolo Dellacha, completing a story that links Pininfarina and Honda across more than four decades, dating back to the 1984 mid-engined HP-X concept.
