De Tomaso is an Italian car maker best known for the Pantera, blending Italian styling with American V8 power.
Argentine-born Alejandro de Tomaso founded the company in Modena in 1959. Its most famous car, the Pantera, used a Ford V8 and was sold through Lincoln-Mercury dealers in the US during the 1970s. The brand has since been revived several times.
